Default Oblivion (label) - quality of their releases?

I recently became aware that a guilty pleasure of mine, Al Festa's Fatal Frames (Fotogrammi mortali) was released in Italy by a new label, Oblivion, who apparently worked with the director on it:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Fatal...lu-ray/325129/

They also released a few other titles, like:

De Profundis (aka Black Cat, Demons 6)
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/De-Pr...lu-ray/325128/

Il Bosco 1 (aka Evil Clutch):
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Il-Bo...lu-ray/320122/

And are soon releasing:

Il Mostro:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Il-Mo...lu-ray/325075/

Their releases are English friendly, and have new special features.

Does anyone know know good the audio/video quality on their releases is?
I'm particularly interested in Fatal Frames, and De Profundis (does anyone know how it compares to the US BD?).

thank you

Wondering about them myself. Looks like an interesting release slate so far.

I bought "Fatal Frames" a few months ago and I cannot recommend the blu-ray at all. It is a terrible sd upscale with very heavy DNR applied. It also features the short version (around 125 minutes) only, which is not necessarily a bad thing as the uncut version (around 135 minutes) is too long but for example the included German dub ist just chopped off at some times due to the cuts. Probably not an issue with the English audio track as they only released the shorter version in the US (not sure about that), but worth mentioning.

Il Mostro's blu-ray went out of print in less than a year, unavailable everywhere, even used copies. Only the dvd edition remains. My guess is some sort of rights issue, with it being English friendly, and all. Which would mean another release is coming from some other label, in European territories. One can hope...

From what I understand, they do a single pressing of a title, in both "limited edition" (including some sort of extra, like a soundtrack CD, an autographed postcard, ...) and "regular edition" variants (which also has a small limited number of copies), on BD and DVD.

After the copies sell, they don't repress the titles.

So, each of their releases has a limited number of copies, with no intention of pressing more.
After a while, it's next to impossible to find them. Last time they released a title I wanted, after a few weeks, or a month, it was gone from everywhere.

Sadly, this is becoming too frequent with genre releases, since many labels create this "artificial scarcity" where if you are unaware of a release, or just can't afford it at a certain moment, you miss out.

Hmm... But does that make sense, from a business perspective? I mean, if they have a title that sells so well and so quickly, and it's not a limited edition, but one they still have the rights to... wouldn't it make more sense to repress and keep selling?

Ciao, grazie per il bellissimo post! Mi è piaciuto leggerlo,
È un argomento su cui mi sono interrogato. Finora sembra un'interessante release slate.
Per favore fatemi sapere come posso essere più utile!
