My first (and my only BD rewrite) is a Sony, 25GB. I'd love to get 50GB, but not sure if my current drive support it. It's UJ-210 (which some said that it can write dual layer with firmware update). Is this true?

This machine has the UJ-210S.
All specs state that BD-R and BD-RE SL and DL are supported.
Don't know the differences between the 210 and 210S.

I need to find somewhere to get a BD-RE 50 around here.

try online at sony centre.... I found it impossible to found everywhere except sony centre website
