I had the awards on in the background all night (trying to win a Steam Deck) but this was the only moment where I stopped and actually paid attention. Lovely trailer.

I'm going to hazard a guess that this will be the greatest selling Armored Core game by a country mile.

Hoping your mech will have the ability to dodge-roll. Need to take advantage of those

during boss fights.

They better not bastardize this.

I have never played an Armored Core game, so it’ll be interesting.

“Armored Core 6 isn’t just a ‘Soulsborne’ mech game, creators say“

I haven't played an Armored Core game in a very long time but i am intrigued by this. The only problem i personally have thought could happen is if From Software are using their slightly janky frame paced engine to make this game.

It's just full of bad frame pacing all over their games they have ever made.

Like a few others have mentioned before me this will be my first Armored Core game play experience. I was always curious at the franchise during my high school days but I wasn't into PC gaming rather more into console gaming. I just recently completed Mech-Warrior 5 and that was awesome. Now I'm currently playing Gundam:Evolution, which is a really fun one and to hold me over until Armored Core VI comes out later in the year

Some cool Mech action going on there, thanks. I haven't played a full Mech game in this style since the PS2 days.

While Armored Core 6 is purely action based, back on the old Amiga 2000, I had a game called BattleTech: Crescent Hawk, which was a RPG open world top down Mech game where you moved a little human around and hopped into any Mech you earned, then could go out into the wilderness to find cities and battle other Mechs, although that was turned based unfortunately. This live action is much preferred IMO versus turn based Mech games.

$450 for the collectors edition of AC6. That is almost like buying a PS5. I guess the statue item is very expensive and high quality hopefully.

Collectors editions these days are nothing more than an extremely over inflated pile of plastic crap and useless junk. They're just trying to do what all the rest of the industries are doing which is to offer you crap at jacked up prices.

Personally i am glad they're not going to go Souls style with the gameplay but they did indicate its also designed to challenge players too, so hopefully they strike a better balance for a range of casual to more hardcore challenge seekers.

I am also curious if they will go open world with this entry or rather have very large playable areas you can travel to and from because there did seem like quite a decent variation of areas. Looks good, and i love me some solid mech action.

I'd like a Mech game where you could do all this action as seen in AC6, but when your mech was about to be destroyed, you could voluntarily hop out, and then be a tiny human, running for cover and hoping the other enemy Mechs didn't see you slip out to find another replacement Mech. You would be able to run anywhere you wanted in the world, but at the risk of being smashed like a bug by an enemy Mech foot.
R.A.D. on PS2 was like that. Robot Alchemic Drive. You would be a tiny person and could hop onto the Mech in flying mode, or just control the Mech from the ground.

Possibly, yes. I have heard some 'horror' stories about some collectibles in the past looking much cheaper than the prototype image used for advertising. I heard the Fallout Pipboy, tote bag, and mask were junk.

Titanfall is a little bit like what you're talking about as a concept. I think there was a Capcom game called Lost Planet where you piloted a robot and then could also get out. I don't think the concept is bad at all tbh, but i think they usually tend to just not do that as its probably much more complex from a programming PoV to script completely new animations for you when you hop out of the mech and have to account for different movement and death animations on foot as a small human.

I think I will go with this more deluxe than ordinary, yet still relatively shelf-friendly Launch Edition:

It looks like the Launch Edition is not available in the US. Too bad because I really wanted that Steelbook. I will settle for the boring and cheap standard edition.

According to Amazon website:

- 800+ preordered the PS5 version
- 50+ preordered the PS4 version
- 100+ preordered the Xbox version

I saw a deal for the Launch Edition in the UK and it doesn't come with a steelbook listed which would be a shame but not surprising.

To be fair it doesn't look like it's a steel book in the picture posted either? As appears to be a standard black plastic rather than blue case. And doesn't advertise launch edition as a steel on the Bandai site. But would be glad to be wrong, it would make it even better value.
