So hooked on this series and need to see season 2 but after watchin in 1080p i cannot watch the standard dvd. Any word?

Summer at the absolute earliest, but I don't even know if it's in production. That's about the minimum cycle time from seeing how well it sold to greenlight to product on the shelf

I would guess around the same time this year as Season 1 was released last year. I'm hoping the quality will continue to be as good as I've heard (AVC video and DTS-HD Master for the audio).

I've still never even seen one episode of this show. I've been meaning to 'cause I hear it's great, I just don't need to get sucked into another series. The ones I watch now are already steeling all my free time

I M-U-S-T have Season 2 on Blu-ray.

Otherwise I may have to give in and watch the DVD upconverted on my PS3 so that I can catch up with the current season

the first season was good second season was'nt to bad but the fact they dragged it out to a third season sorta rubbed me the wrong way.

i have'nt seen any of the third season so i won't comment on it.

No word about Dexter season 1 and 2 ? it's from Showtime like Weeds, so exclusif Blu-Ray

Are you sure ? because Weeds it's exclusif Blu-Ray and it's from Showtime too, i know Showtime is Viacom (Paramount) and maybe the Paramount exclusivity is only for movies ?

OK, I just read that there are plans to release Prison Break Season 3 on BD. What the hell is up with that?? I have season 1 on BD and have been waiting for season 2 which isn't out yet on BD and now I hear that season 3 is on its way?!?!

Can't wait. I just finished up season 2 on the PS3, looked really good too. Actualy I was a bit suprised because I never seen an upconverted DVD before. Not bad. Not bad at all, but it was still no blu.

Kinda getting mad at this not releaseing seasons. Like Lost, Rescue Me and the Sopranos. I have one season and it looks great. Clean up the old and release em.

Lost seasons 1 and 2 would be awesome.

It doesn't matter what channel a show is on, the production company releases the DVDs or Blu-rays. Dexter is CBS/Paramount, Weeds is Lionsgate.

Edit: But I would love Dexter ASAP. Oh and Burn Notice, which is Fox but on NBC/Universal's USA Network. But we all know that movies take precedence over TV shows. Oh well, maybe next year.

Huge resources required/limited resources available+limited audience+ low sales of catalog titles=low on the priority list

Season 1 was already finished when Fox took their little vacation, it would have been out much sooner

Can someone tell me whats the difference in the release of the newly released Season 1 in comparison with the original released set on blu ray years ago.

Is the picture quality any different? Any different features?
