Talking about films where a majority (or a large part of key segments) take place on train or ship/boat. Examples include in the order of release:
The General (1926) Shanghai Express (1932) The Lady Vanishes (1938) Lifeboat (1944) The African Queen (1951) A Night to Remember (1958) The Train (1964) Von Ryan's Express (1965) The Sand Pebbles (1966) Horror Express (1972) Jaws (1975) Death on the Nile (1978) Titanic (1997) Transsiberian (2008) Captain Philips (2009) Unstoppable (2010) Source Code (2011) Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and so on. There is Night Train to Munich (1940) too but here the train segment is more like a part of an escape segment. Similarly, the Lady from Shanghai (1947), Strangers on a Train (1951), Cape Fear (1962 & 91), etc. What are your favorite 5-10 such films? Last edited by zen007; 12-29-2022 at 10:00 PM. |
