These are separate individual releases. Maybe a box too (eventually? but didn't see it).

I bought the TNG Motion Picture Collection box for $10. I'll take standalone this time around. Been waiting for this announcement since they announced the first 6 last year.

Unpopular Opinion, but the Generations theme is the definitive theme for Star Trek:

Yep, even more so than the original Courage and Goldsmith themes.

You're right, that is an unpopular opinion.

For me Goldsmith's theme goes with Star Trek the way William's theme goes with Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Superman. That being said, it's a toss up between him and James Horner for who did the better Trek score.

Because some people like to discuss ONE movie and not the others.

Good to know we're getting these earlier than expected. Hoping for a boxset with all of them.. or even better; three boxsets, divided in saga/trilogies. That way my wallet will suffer less.

I recall an earlier thread that said this exact date. If anything, it's on schedule.

No, I don't think you understand; *I* was expecting these to come out in the fall just like the other two waves. I know there were ''insiders'' saying otherwise. I'm just saying, happy that we get them earlier than before.

I bought the four-movie 4K OG set TMP-DE Complete Adventure before I even owned a 4K TV set. LOL I got one finally over Thanksgiving and have been enamored with it.

That said, I have all of the Star Trek movies on Blu-ray already and since my 4K TV upscales really well. I don't plan to buy 4K Blu-rays of TFF, TUC, Insurrection and Nemesis. All I really want on 4K are Generations and First Contact, but I'll hold out until I read reviews of their 4K PQ before I actually buy them.

I like Generations. Thematically, it's spot on TNG - we do our duty even if we don't want to. Because that's what duty is.

And I like the score too. Not all of it - the action cues aren't great. But the subtle parts I really enjoy - The Nexus/A Christmas Hug, Jumping the Ravine, and Two Captains is good listening.

And back in the day, the CGI of Stellar Cartography was kind of amazing.
