Still hoping Nemesis gets an extended Director's Cut.

Doubt it. The studio has said all that needs to be said about this movie.

I'd love it if they did.

I want the test-audience Generations cut to finally see the light of day as well.

I'd say the chances of either happening here are zero. This'll be a 4K upgrade, with everything else ported.

The Director was probably this film's biggest problem.

Yes - correction, it's the "cast-cut" I want, with all the character bits Baird deleted put back in. Maybe trim some of the cheesy Baird action bits for good measure. You know, just to make room.

This is a big guilty pleasure for me and I think it has arguably the best starship battle scenes of any of the movies! Really looking forward to this and the rest of the TNG movies

And while it did have a lot of space-battle stuff, Nemesis' climactic battle in the nebula was one of the vanishingly few space battles I've ever seen that actually engaged my interest, because it was more about strategy and problem-solving and a battle of wits between two intelligent adversaries than just about death-rays and explosions. I'm always more interested in problem-solving than violence, which is why my favorite action scenes are things like the rescue at the start of ENT: "Divergence."

For real - the "losing his cloak" scene when the Romulans attack, chef's kiss. Seems to be a rare case when there's much strategy in the battles in Trek haha.

It's a lot like Final Front Ear, I greatly enjoy some bits and cringe so hard at others but what makes it work is Jezza Goldsmith. The man was a miracle worker.

I had mixed feelings about this movie when I saw it in the theater on opening night: December 13 2002, my 18th birthday. My, how time flies!

After a while I watched it again and can appreciate it for what it is. It has some interesting ideas with Shinzon, etc and I do appreciate the darker tone but it is a bit jumbled in its execution. B4 is a bit annoying but it also has some of the most heartfelt scenes in the series, both highs
[Show spoiler](Picard's toast at the wedding)
and lows
[Show spoiler](Data's sacrifice)
. There is some wonderful photography in this film and especially the use of negative space like when Picard first sees Shinzon in a throne room of sorts. It is definitely a palette cleanser from the abomination that was Insurrection, it sucked then and it sucks today. You, crappy film, ruined my 14th birthday! None of my friends, Trekkies or otherwise nor my parents enjoyed it.

The BD was thankfully left alone DNR wise, I hope the same is true here but I am skeptical. I think it was an early DI, was it not?

The film wasn't that bad. A vast improvement over the previous movie, though that ain't saying much.

Without getting bogged down in details, are the deleted scenes documented somewhere?
