I think it's coming from Imprint... but if that's legit then I'd wait and get that version.

I agree! I regular Blu of this with Imprint's stink-o-vision compression would be so much better!!

Excellent news! The UK title is FULL CIRCLE, and it's an amazingly creepy and stylish film. I cannot wait to get this.

Weren't Arrow rumoured to have this or was that bologne? It'd be funny if this suddenly got releases from Imprint, Shout, and Arrow all around the same time.

I heard that it might be with Second Sight in the UK, and that the package may include a soundtrack CD. It's just amazing to me that this seldom-seen and criminally underrated little film is making the leap from VHS straight to UHD. Miracles still happen!

Oh f*ck yes. My gr 12 comm tech teacher introduced me to this movie and let me borrow his Media VHS tape. That was like 2006 lol. Can’t believe it’s taken this long for this movie to make it to disc, period. It never even had a DVD. Love this movie. It’s a bit of a slow-burn, but it’s got atmosphere in spades.

And to think I considered importing the Imprint version lol.

Absolutely grabbing the SF UHD. What an upgrade.

It was a Canadian tax shelter film, and some of those don't exactly have the cleanest rights/ownership situations. Could be part of it.

Can't clearly really make out any studio logos on the artwork posted.

As I recall, it had a Columbia/Sony logo attached to it when it used to play on Movies! channel here in the US.

I caught it on Shudder when they had it for a few months, I think in 2018? It is really stylish and the performances are all great as is the prog score. Definitely a little gem.

I dropped $70 (about half of which was international shipping cost) last night on Imprint's limited edition Blu-ray/soundtrack CD set. I was so thrilled to see that this was finally getting a release that I could not stop myself—and, lo and behold, a 4K is announced by Scream Factory not even 24 hours later!

I am not exactly mad, though—I am a big fan of this movie and have waited for years and years for it to come to Blu-ray (or even DVD). I actually bought a digital copy on Amazon a couple of years ago just so I could watch it in a decent print. It seemed like a disc release was never going to happen.

I too am surprised that this of all titles was selected for a 4K by Scream Factory. It does seem like an odd choice, but I will gladly buy it.

It's great to see some of these forgotten, neglected gems that languished for years, jumping formats and going straight to 4k uhd. I feel that 2023 will continue to yield up bunch of random, welcome surprises.

Doing some detective work, it was produced by the following Canadian entities:

Canadian Film Development Corporation (CFDC)
Classic Film Industries
Famous Players
Fetter Productions
Merit

Famous Players was a Canadian division of Paramount and CFDC was an early predecessor to Cinepix/Lionsgate. Distribution rights were scattered and Paramount apparently had rights in Canada and the UK (where it's joint venture CIC released it theatrically). It was thought for the longest time Lionsgate owned the master copyright given the CFDC part it owns. However, the other entities Fetter Productions and Merit may have had it's assets acquired by Sommerville House, who Shout deals with for stuff like Black Christmas and Zorro 1975. OTOH, BC is also listed being with this company along with Haunting of Julia https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0049970. This could explain Shout getting these from the same rights holder.
