Default Dual format HD-DVD/Blu-ray burners
Seems like all the dual format burners are actually Blu-ray burner/HD-DVD reader. Guess it has to do with the different lens requirements.

Because they will write/read Blu-ray but only read HD-DVD, it means that the HD-DVD compatability is only there for playing movies due to the hold-out by Paramount and Universal.

I wonder how much less we would be paying if the manufacturers hadn't devoted R&D money to adding the HD-DVD play only capability?
