Wrong movie burned to Blu-ray from factory - Blu-ray Forum

I blind picked up V8² Revenge of the Nitros from the dollar store the other day and I popped it in to watch last night. The movie was English dubbed and when the title sequence rolled it was a completely different movie about a circus. I gave it about 20 minutes, knowing that sometimes foreign movies do change their titles for American releases, but it became obvious something was off. I pulled the movie up on Tubi and confirmed I wasn't watching the right movie. Out of sheer curiosity I put the DVD in to see if the right movie was but ed to that disc, which it was.

I'm not upset, more bewildered. At the end of the day I figure if nothing else I got a replacement case, but I've never heard of this happening. The menu art on the Bluray was for the right movie as was the disc art. Has anyone had this happen to them before, or have you heard of this happening?

The first pressing of Fight Club is Never Been Kissed with the wrong disc art. Fun one!

Well Go's release of Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal was like this. It had some music festival on the disc instead. They replaced it - even if bought from Dollar Tree.

I had the original Get Carter (with the US audio) in the BD case of the Stallone remake which is what I had ordered. The original Get Carter is one of my favourite films (had the original UK audio BD), but also a Stallone fan for reference. Seller just refunded me and let me keep the disc, so I now have an "alternative cut" in my collection

That's just a gag at start-up to make everyone think they got the wrong disc. Once the NBK title screen goes off it's FC. It was fun and I'm sure I'm not the only one who said "what the f**k" the first time popping it in the player.

I recall it was on the dvd as well, so it didn't get me on the blu as I expected it.

No it's not! It's totally real. Bad wrong label disc. I have it.

Not me, but recently someone got a copy of Mindfield that had one of the discs from the TV series Frasier on it.

Same thing happened to me with this particular release. I tried contacting the company at the time, but they didn't seem to care to respond. I ended up just watching the DVD since it was the right movie.

Before I made the switch to blu, I had a DVD of THE MONSTER SQUAD that when I went to watch it I discovered had accidentally had DISASTER MOVIE on it. That was a major disappointment in many ways. One of the bleakest days of my life.

I picked up a copy of Justice League (2017) and it had Justice League (2017) on the disc.
