Along with the other Superman movies. Forget the US releases.

Theatrical > Donner. Am I alone in that? I wish these were in the same set.

Too bad Zavvi UK doesn't ship to the US anymore. Hopefully the US/Best Buy will get these.

It's the same set, one SteelBook. Look at the spine.

Actually, look closer. They are the same set. It’s one case with 4 disc (stacked?). You flip the case to display which graphic you want facing the same as the others in your collection.

Thanks! The single spindle per side was throwing me off.

Even the inside art is flipped. The three villains is the Donner Cut and Lois is the theatrical cut (I had to zoom in on the wording, but you can see it).

I would kill for a U.S. release of the entire set using the same style artwork.

I'm sure that if Richard Donner had managed to finish shooting his version of Superman II, it would've been way better.

But as things stand now, I prefer the theatrical version, as well, simply for being a complete movie.

This is literally the only title I want from the big set because there are (IMO) superior cuts of the first film than the one on the 4K and 3 and 4 are total pants, so we have GOT to get this shipping to the U.S. shit figured out and in a hurry!

Pretty sure they have it the right way... Donner Cut is on the "back" of the steel, so if you opened it that way you'd not be looking at Lois on the right. You'd be looking at the villains the right way. The interior shot they showed is what you'd see if you opened the steel with Supes on the cover (pictured right next to it)

Edit: You probably didn't mean flipped as the wrong way with each cut, right? Just that they are opposite each other?...

What I meant is that the inside graphics are flipped/opposite to match the outer graphics. If you are looking at the Donner cut and open it like a book, you see Lois right side up. If looking at Superman and the villains and you open it you will see the three villains graphic right side up. I think we understand, it’s hard to describe it in words, lol.

I think you guys had it right the first time. With the theatrical poster right side up (Superman and the three villains with Manhattan on fire in the background) Lois is right side up when the steelbook is opened.

Very happy about the steelbook, not so happy about Zavvi, but still purchased.

I imagine this was explained a while ago but I can't seem to find the answer; Was it always the plan to have Supes go back in time in both films? If not which one?
