BUTCHER M.D. and more. New 4k scans from negatives, HDR Dolby Vision color correction and additional special features. Announcements will hit when the extensive work is done on the new masters.

Great news and nice to finally see Severin publicizing it a bit. Of course, Grindhouse and Severin are way behind the 8-ball now, with 88 Films far out ahead on most of these titles, maybe all of these titles and more, beating them to the punch with tons of salable product NOW. Luckily for Severin, some North American buyers won’t want to import the UK discs, and super-fans will likely double-dip if the USA releases meet or exceed the quality of the UK releases. More choices and more releases of these titles are a win for fans and collectors either way.

I’m drooling. Of course, Anthropophagous still needs to happen. But this is huge progress.

I just hope they don't do something stupid, like what they did with "Four Flies on Grey Velvet" and release it with all the other titles on Black Friday as an exclusive at their website. It was bad enough back then with price and timing, but now 4 times. Hopefully, they'll be regular releases or one fair priced ($100) set, if the worst does happen.

Oh man this is tough vs the 88 films release. Which to get? The 88 films is about $20 cheaper, but no dr. butcher cut. Given 88's latest work, though, the Zombi Holocaust cut might outperform the Severin in PQ. Some nice extras on severin but I never watch extras, just want best A/V.

Also WTF is a reversible slipcover? I assume they mean different stuff printed on each side?

Yeah, one cover and spine is the Doctor Butcher art and the back cover and other spine is the Zombie Holocaust art. Their Midnight/Backwoods Massacre slip was the same way.

I'm surprised that Severin is still selling this 4k title for $50 presale price on their website, but Amazon has listed it for $39, and it appears to be the identical package. Amazon is almost never priced below Severin's website store, at presale. Seems odd.

I don't think Severin, in light of their own direct website sales and all the promotion for their Black Friday event, will be sending Count Dracula 4k and Zombie Holocaust 4k out to retailers early. I also ordered these two titles from Diabolikdvd, and I seriously doubt I'll have them in-hand before November 30.
