I loved Get Out, hated Us, and wasn't thrilled with Nope. One thing's for sure: you never know what you're going to get with a Jordan Peele movie.

It’s opening 5 days after Avatar 3, so it doesn’t seem as likely to have premium screens.

I'll be there.

Us was so-so. Great premise and first act. The story and concept unfortunately kind of slowly falls apart in what follows.

Make a film about Monkey's Paw, where you wish for good fortune, but are cursed with something much worse. Kind of like the Wishmaster series.

I wonder if Peele will stay with the horror genre or move into other genres to not be stuck as "The horror director". Sci-fi with NOPE, but it's mostly horror themed UFO.

Whatever happens, keep making new idea films. The last thing I want to see is a sequel to NOPE any time soon. Years from now, that's fine, but only after 10 original films if possible.

I just re-watched Nope again yesterday, holds up and was probably my favorite film of last year.
I did enjoy Get Out but feel its a bit overrated.
I also enjoyed Us but probably my least favorite of those three. I did see a test screening of this, with Peele in attendance, about six months before release, so I think seeing it that way and again upon release had me dissecting it a bit too much to just take it in as it was.

I liked the first three so I'm in. The only thing I didn't like was his Twilight Zone.

And Sonic 3.

Then again, Bumblebee and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse did decent going up against Aquaman's $1.1b, so it could still do business. Maybe not as much, but it should still turn a profit and give people more viewing options for the big holiday weekend. People who want to watch a horror/psychological thriller with their wife/SO and/or older kids can now do so.

I was going to say, to have a movie without even getting a firm title being released in the same year seems unlikely.

Just as long as it's something all new and not a sequel to NOPE, I'll be interested. New stories to keep things interesting.

Loved Get out, disappointed with Us, expected more with Nope but I will always look forward for more Peele. The themes have been different but they're all thrillers, so it that could continue. Ghosts?
