It would be really cool if RSM would be allowed to release the 3D Blu-ray on the same day the 2D Blu-ray is dropped, but I get the feeling that they have to wait, either contractually or just for the actual materials and process to happen, after the release.

Either way, I’ll be enormously grateful if RSM can release this one, no matter when it happens

no they have to wait for the goodwill of the studio to make it available to them, don't take it for granted they could shut that door anytime...

Unfortunately, RSM is no more. They closed up shop this week. A great loss to the 3D community.

Turbine (Germany) has a deal with Universal, this title could be in the cards for 2024.

I loved Trolls 2 in 3D so this would be a day 1!

Great that this will get a 3D conversion.

A very good sign. So its very likely that "Kung Fu Panda 4" will also be in 3D next year.

Lets hope for a 3D Blu-ray!

IMHO an awful series and painful to watch...yet I would still feel obligated to pick up a 3D copy "for the cause." *sigh*

The first one was okay, second one actually entirely different vibe and not too bad but the trailer for this looks appalling. I guess we’ll see.

I hope we'll see. I'm not paying to see this theatrically, so if Universal / DreamWorks want my money, they'd better release a 3D Blu-ray, either themselves or via Turbine.

Up until Avatar The Way of Water, it was Trolls World Tour that held the title of the last 3D Blu-ray released in the UK, it would be fitting if the next Trolls film took the title back.

Given we are still waiting for Super Mario 3d from RSM it might be a couple years before this one hits bluray 3d!

That's great it will be in 3D! Now we just have to hope for a blu-ray, Trolls 2 was stunning in 3D.

Saw the trailer for this theatrically with a group, felt the death stares upon me when the trailer announced it would be a 3D movie.

This looks inane yet extremely psychedelic. I’d be torn on buying a 3-D Blu. Haven’t seen the first two Trolls movies — how’s the 3-D on those?

Saw it in RealD today. There are indeed a few sequences that are incredibly psychedelic, definitely the best parts to me! My favorite is the "hustle" section in the middle of the film with 2D style animation, looked great layered in stereo. I liked the musical numbers more in this one but the sequels' stories are both pretty weak in my view. Voice cast give good performances in Band Together, Eric Andre in particular.

The 3D looked only medium strength to me. I watched World Tour in 3D last night and it seemed slightly stronger; never got the opportunity to screen the first film in 3D as it never came out on 3DBD. That said, Band Together does have carefully done stereo and it is emphasized in certain moments where they play around with the lens configuration and animation styles especially. When looking at characters' faces in this one, I got the impression that the stereo was toned down a bit to ensure that characters' expressions are immediately clear even at weird angles. The credits are presented with subtle 3D art throughout.

Before the movie, 3D trailers played for Wish and Migration - both seemed stronger than Band Together but of course that could change in their final forms. Wish's 3D looked picture-perfect and natural, but a bit restrained in places - as usual from Disney. Migration stood out though, that will definitely pop in stereo!

Only 1 3D show time for the entire day and not a great time at my theaters. Though 1 3D show time is better than none at all! Only thing is, I haven't seen any of these Trolls movies yet.

That's good to hear, thanks.

Same here with the Trolls films. Now if they honored the original Trolls designs of the figures, I'd be more interested, but these designs are way off the mark IMO other than the hair styles. But I understand they're modernizing things for a newer audience. At least it's in 3D though, that's cool. If I see Trolls 2 cheap, I'll consider it on blu ray 3D.

Thanks for the 3D review here. Sounds like mostly medium layers of 3D, while the prior film would have stronger 3D from the sound of it.

Migration 3D, that could be something in stronger 3D. Thanks.
Wish 3D, medium layers also from what I saw of the 3D trailers. Looks nice, but wish they pushed the 3D more. Thankfully it's not mild 3D.

Trolls 2 was amazing in 3D. Son and I caught this one in 2D last night and a 3D would be bonkers. It's ripe for it.

Saw this today and wasn’t impressed. It’s free of conversion errors, but it’s also free of intentional 3D like Trolls 2 or Puss in Boots The Last Wish. The dance choreography is especially 2D, with a lot of quick side-to-side motion that strains the eyes in stereo. A few moments play well in 3D, like the “Hustle” sequence, but they read like happy accidents, not planned 3D wow moments.
