Paramount will be releasing the first season of 1923: A Yellowstone Origin Story on Blu-ray on August 8th. The series, which co-stars Harrison Ford, and Hellen Mirren, originally aired on Paramount+.

Sort of surprised they didn't wait and release both together since it was planned as a two-season show. But I guess they wanted to have it out as promotion for season 2. Would assume a complete series will come eventually.

They're showing a release date of 1/1/25. Not sure I want to wait that long.

I hope they release a complete boxset with Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923 all in it.

Was there another spin off coming ?

No, I believe 1923 was the last one.

Huh? No, there's heaps more on the way.

Following Yellowstone"s completion at the end of season 5, the show will continue in the form of some kind of sequel series. Meanwhile, after 1923's second season is completed Sheridan is planning further prequels in the form of 1943 and 1963.

I just finished cataloging this release in DVD Profiler and My Movies. Thought I'd share the end result. (Back cover image contributed to Blu-ray.com database.)

And here's a pic of the back side of the cover art. There was a very heavy impression along the spine captured by the scan I did. I took a few minutes in Photoshop minimizing that to a large degree. It's tolerable now anyway.

So looking forward to giving these discs a spin. Going to watch the first couple episodes tomorrow night. I really enjoyed Yellowstone and 1883 so hopefully I'll dig this as well.
