Default wireless keyboards compatible with ps3

Greetings everyone, I want your help with this topic. You see, My brother got me a wireless keyboard to use with my ps3 60 gig. The model is luxeMate 3000 from Genius. Well the thing is that I got this mouse-keyboard combo work in my laptop, but I don't think it will work with my ps3, am I right? after all, I've already tried and nothing happens when I conect the usb device and follow the instruction to have it work. does anyone know whether this or any other wireless nonblutooth keyboard that can work with my ps3?

Please I'd appreciate your help very much.

unless Sony has updated this, i dont think blutooth keyboards or mice work. anyways to answer your question usb wireless keyboard/mouse should work with the ps3.

EDIT: Ok, i was just on PS3 official forums, and yes blutooth does work with keyboards and mice but it must include a usb blutooth dongle. The USB must also be connected by a dongle and it should just be plug and play.

My Logitech MX 5000 bluetooth keyboard and mouse work with the PS3. I dont have to use the usb receiver either, it connects directly to the PS3.

Logitech specifically designed a BT keyboard with a build in game pad(mouse pad on the keyboard) for the ps3. Most BT keyboard and mouse will work. Almost all USB keyboards and mouses will work as well.
