I would hope so, even the much desired 4K discs wouldn't entice people to buy that. :P

I wonder who else is getting exclusives for this.

Hopefully Best Buy gets a steelbook for the first Avatar 4K here in the US.

It doesn't make sense why one wouldn't release alongside The Way of Water steelbook. That would be a real missed opportunity if it didn't.

At the same time, it seems like it's too late for them to just now announce it and have it arrive to stores on time for June 20th.

You would think that we would know by now if the first film was actually getting a steelbook release.

This one isn't being released until late 2023 in the UK so if the U.S. gets one it probably won't be until around that time as well.
