Universal is the only studio that manages to surprise me a good portion of the time with their 4k picks (which IMO is not a bad thing at all).

This seems kinda pointless if a new 3D disc isn't included unless you really enjoy 50s sci-fi.

Yeah, I have to imagine that's what they would do. It would be really dumb if they did a new disc without 3D included.

Totally unexpected but happy to see another 50s title hit the format.

I might not even bother as it will just feel lacking in 2D to me. Rather have a really crisp 4K remastering and putting that on 3D disc.

I upgrade almost everything to 4K but titles like this are a hard sell when they’re 3D films foremost. I did upgrade some but it was cases where the theatrical had Atmos or something like that and only the 4K had that. It is why I haven’t unloaded the Hobbits yet, though lately I am wondering if even that is worth it, losing the 3D.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a 4K upgrade to The Blob '58 from Criterion for October.

They released The Blob (1958) in theaters last year in a 4K remastered upgrade. I’m sure the disc is coming soon. I’m actually surprised that it hasn’t been released yet.

Great it's coming out in 4k but for me I'll probably just stick with the 3D blu-ray I already have. This needs to be seen in 3D.

I second a 4k of The Thing from Another World

Yeah, only two and a half months away. Still debating whether to get this one only because I love 3D and may not watch the 4k much if at all.

Yeah, me too. Unfortunately I have no way to display 3d at the moment. I want to get a new 4k projector that is 3d capable but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I just discovered that my brother has had a 3D TV since 2015 and I never knew it! LOL. I could have been watching my 3D movies every time I was cat sitting when he is out of town!
I've been binging all my 3D movies for the last 4 days. Going to borrow my friend's copies of "It Came..." and "House of Wax"
