[Show spoiler]Eric Wilkinson from MVD Rewind has confirmed in a recent interview Mean Guns (1997) from the late great Albert Pyun, and starring Christopher Lambert, and Ice T, will be coming to Blu-ray soon in a Special Edition. I know a lot of members here have been wanting this one, so this is very exciting news.

The leader of a crime group takes over a prison and lures in a group of the most violent and dangerous assassins to fight to the death for a share of a $10 million prize.

AT LONG LAST! This movie is one of my all time guilty with a capital "G" pleasures. Also, the soundtrack is an absolute banger ("Mambo Mambo!"). Been wanting this in HD for years. Not sure what they'll do for bonus features (I doubt you're getting Ice-T or Lambert to sit down for an interview), and sadly Pyun is no longer with us for a commentary, but for the HD transfer alone I am here for this.

Nope, nothing yet. I do hope it's still happening. MVD has been pretty quiet lately to be honest. I wonder if the writers strikes are impacting what they could do with their releases?

Well that sucks. I hope this release isn't regulated to DVD only. Same with Sabotage.

Importing is an option push come to shove though. I've had my eye on the French Blu-ray release for a while now. Just haven't pulled the trigger as of yet.

Praying for a BD release. If they're looking for someone to do a fan commentary, I'm happy to volunteer as tribute and tell tale of when I stayed home sick from school and pay per viewed this title based on the cast and plot summary alone and found my new favorite guilty pleasure film

Hope so. This one seems strange for a DVD release only as I think most people that want this one would want it on BD.
