Default Renting BD at BB

hope I got the acronym right
rented Resident Evil Extinction at one Blockbuster and they had it for a full week rental? I checked another one I frequent and they were suprised to hear that? I guess not all stores follow the same rules.
Its usually a 2-day rental.

That's correct. Different Blockbusters have different rental periods. Different prices too.

That's because some are Franchise and some are Corporate.

The least amount of time you can have a movie out is nine days, before you're charged. Blockbuster has no late fees (but of course they have due dates). You have a seven day grace period from the due date. So lets say you rent a two-day rental on the 14th. Well your due date is gonna be the 16th, but you have seven grace days after that date. This would make your due date actually the 21st. But don't go past that date or else you'll be charged the full retail price. However, if you do, you will have an additional 30 days to return the movie in order to get your money back minus $1.25.

That's how it is in TX, but I'm pretty positive it's a nation wide deal.

I just rent Blus using my in-mail rentals after I finish watching them. Blu-ray by mail exchanged for blu-ray in the store. It's fantastic!

blu's here are $5.50 and you can keep them up to one week which is a grace period i guess. SD dvd's are $4.99 to rent.

I use the Monthly BB mail program as well.

Although thry have a plethora of Blu-Ray movies, they seem to always be on a waithing list.

I like the in-store return with the extra rental coupon. that doubles my value as the local store is just a mile away.

Just watched Stargate....even though it's over ten years old, the original movie in Blu-ray was awesome!

The BB here is $4.65 for 7 day rental. The only thing is the new releases for blu-ray aren't there like the DVD ones are. It's sad.

4.99 here and there are new releases and non new releases.
(same price)

Good thing you get to use the get one free non new release
on old blu-ray movies.

Btw my local corp store now has a huge bravio plugged into a
ps3 doing a full public showing of Eragon with ps3 box sets on all sides.

only thing they missed was a couch.

What I like, from my Blockbuster, is that I get coupons good for a free movie, so long as it is not a new release.

This includes catalog title Blu-Rays (Example: Die Hard 1, 2, or 3 on Blu-Ray will be free, but not Die Hard 4).

So I watch plenty of catalog Blu-Rays for free. I get about one coupon a month. The one near my house has a great Blu-Ray selection.

The Blu-ray rental is only 2 days, with that 7 day grace period. Works well for me.

I fill up my online Queue with standard dvd's and then return them in store for blu's. It's a wonderful program Blockbuster runs, especially when they have such long waiting lists online with blu's. I have close to 30 SD in my list and get them all the time and then go ahead and swap em

I rented Superbad the other day, and it had a 2 day Rental sticker on it. However, it turned out to be a 7 day rental. I wasn't complaining. It was about $6 I believe.

My blockbuster doesn't have blu-ray yet. Out of aproximately 5 locations in the area, two of them do not have blu-ray yet, and I'm lucky enough to live about 3 and 1/2 blocks away from a blockbuster that has not received the format we all have come to love. (sadly when I ask them if they know when they are going to begin getting BD titles, they always tell me that no one has informed them of a date yet, so I'm guessing it will be quite some time before I can rent blu-rays in my neighborhood.)
