Default Nip/Tuck: 4th Season (Blu-ray)

So, what about the Nip/Tuck Fans here...?

Looks like only 3 people have the 4th season...

I´ve only seen this Blu-ray once in the "collection thread".
Is it bad or did I miss something ?

What a blasphemy that this great show only has a Dolby track...

What do you think ?
Is it worth a buy, or wait until a price cut ?

It's the best the show has ever looked but it's not reference quality or anything. If you're a fan of the show it's definitely worth a rental to see the improvement but buying it really depends on how big of a fan you are.

I bought it on DVD. I have seasons 1,2 and 3 on DVD and season 4 was on sale for $29.99 at Target so I bought it.

I have an issue with all of these TV shows on BD. I never watched Nip Tuck, rescure me, etc. I have no intention at starting on Season 4 or 3 or any other season but 1. I will not buy them on DVD at this point. Therefore I'm stuck.

I bought Weeds because I could do 1 & 2 and start fresh. I realize they think most fans already have the earlier seasons on DVD but I think they could make limited runs. I'm sure lots of folks are in my boat and refuse to start anywhere except the start.

Season 4 is awesome. Just like the rest of the seasons. The quality to me is worth the extra cost over SD. If you find one for a reasonable price then it doesnt even cost all that much more. Id go buy it!

I've got the first 3 season DVDs and#4 on Blu and have been recording all season 5 episodes, unfortunately there is no FX HD. If you can find it for a good price, sure, go ahead and buy it.

Well, normal marketing...
Imagine a new "King of Queens" season.
You wouldn´t want to start with the 1st season on Blu ONLY... would you ?

They have to bring out the new stuff.

It would be nice if the older seasons would follow soon, but Blu-ray is the winner,
so,...
No doubt that the other seasons will follow.

I understand that the new has to be out immediately but the old series really need to be almost concurrent. I won't buy any of these until I can start from the beginning.

I understand your concerns. So far only Fox did this with Prison Break Season 1.

In time, I guess they will release the previous seasons, but perhaps they'll wait until Blu-ray sales start competing with DVD. Who knows? (maybe some insider could tell us the studios strategy for releasing TV series on blu-ray). In the meantime you could rent the DVDs...

There is indeed an FX HD. DirecTV is carrying it.
