Default Charles Martinet to step down from voicing Mario

Time for Kiefer Sutherland to take over vocals.

Need to hire an authentic Italian for PC reasons.

lol anyway how many different ways can they record the line "Yippee" before it's not really necessary to get him back in the studio any more?

In 2021 he said he'd want to voice Mario until he'd die and now Nintendo are saying he's retiring? Something doesn't add up.

I just hope Nintendo doesn't hire Chris Pratt to do Mario's game voice...

The French Mario VA from the Mario movie sounded extremely close to Martinet and it'd be great if he were the new VA, eh, unlikely.

Read about that, but not really interested in watching a Nintendo Direct about it. I'll just wait for the news about the new VA.

Moreover, Wonder is certainly a step-up from the "New" series which I've gotten really tired of. I didn't even finish NSMB2 on my 3DS (what were they thinking with all those gold coins, smh).

His voice is going to change as he ages, it makes sense. Mario is eternal.

This is the worst news I've heard this month. It's a shame that he left. This voice was already like my own, I won't be able to perceive Mario without him.
