I'm looking to upgrade my receiver for gaming and movie-watching via current-gen consoles (Xbox Series X, PS5 later). Is there anything better than the Onkyo TX-NR6100?
Key capabilities that matter are 1. 4k @ 120Hz passthrough 2. Atmos/presence sound support 3. HDMI CEC and device-switching that actually works (e.g. turning off the TV turns off the receiver, which turns of the console) I'd like to find something under $750 (USD) if possible (the Onkyo is currently $550). Any experiences, alternatives, or recommendations would be appreciated. |
