Love this movie, and I'm not even close to being a Notre Dame fan. Terrific cinematography, and one of Jerry Goldsmith's all time best musical scores.

Hoosiers would be an MGM release. Would Warner Brothers have the rights to it?

HOOSIERS absolutely deserves a UHD remaster. MGM has the rights (WB doesn't have anything to do with their catalog beyond releasing "retail" titles like ROCKY) and presumably it wouldn't be hard for any number of labels to license it if it's available to them. Surprised it hasn't happened already.

But I love RUDY too. These two go hand in hand together, great period atmosphere, fantastic Jerry Goldsmith scores, wonderful location shooting that adds to their authenticity. Both films make
dramatic adjustments to their source stories but they're movies and not documentaries. Two of the best sports movies ever.

Hoosiers is my favorite movie of all-time. Not that I think it’s the best, but I come from a basketball family, and every year before basketball season, my family would watch this together!

Hope it gets a 4k release!

It was with MGM for years.

I didn't hate .. RUDY. But for me there's no comparison. And it's the same director I believe.

Holy crap yes! I didn't think this would happen. Rudy is an incredible movie. I just rewatched the blu-ray a few months ago.

Yep. That was on the DVD, but they ditched it on the Blu-ray. One my all time favorite scores.

I wonder if it was a licensing issue. City of Angels also dropped the isolated score on the Blu-ray.
