Another Code: Recollection
Released on 9/1/2024 Collection of both the DS game, and the Wii game, it seems at least the DS game was fully remade. Atm 6 GB. Hopefully this will get a physical release. |

Physical release seems confirmed for all major markets.
I imported the Wii game (which was never released in Australia), but didn't want to play it until I completed the first one (which I retroactively bought, but have still yet to play). I'm inclined to FINALLY play the first game on DS in preparation for the remake. |

Hopefully with both games on cart.

The 2nd one uses the Wiimote in tons of interesting ways. I doubt that they will be able to replicate that all, but we will see. I only played part of the DS game, but finished the Wii game. |

what a timing. I only found out about these games a few months ago after playing Sin and Punishment on Switch online
bought the DS game recently, so there's some regret here, although I'm sure with the dual screen it will play differently so it's not a total loss. also to play the sequel I had to either mod my wii u/wii to play region free games, or buy a wiimote adapter for PC, so this release is the easier route anyway, I'm about to start the first game now and see if it's for me |

I played 2-3 hours of Trace Memory, but now when I load the save file it restarts from the beginning for some reason, and I'm not in the mood to replay a point and click game
of what I've played, I think it's alright. nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyed the atmosphere. |

Another Code Amazon Japan pre-order bonus (tbh, it's quite shitty)
It's available for purchase through other sites, like suruga-ya, but they charge 3200 Yen or more, and this little note booklet is definitely not worth it in my opinion. The clear file is way cheaper and way prettier. Also it's tiny, way smaller than even a Switch game case. It got it for around 5000 Yen, game included, so price was okay for me. The 2nd Wii original used the Wiimote in all sorts of ways, which was very creative and it had a really beautiful art style. The 1st DS game was fully remade here. I have no clue what they did w/ the 2nd one. The Joycons can't reach the level of the Wiimote. There's a demo on the eShop. I recommend you to play that. |

I gave the DS game another shot, but made sure not to turn off the system until I beat it this time lol
decent game for someone who isn't big on the genre. I would've probably found it groundbreaking in 2005 I have to say, I love how cinematic games used to be despite the systems limitations at the time. the switch remake artstyle looks worse than the ds imo |
