Default The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

This year marks the 20th anniversary of one that is probably the best remake out there.
One of the most iconic horror pictures in recent history and produced by Michael Bay, Marcus Nispel’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a great example of how to do a remake of an already iconic picture and still have your own style.

Action packed and insanely brutal, this is one of a hell good title to have a 4K release. I can only imagine how awesome the sequences in the Hewitt house and meat factory would look. Also, would be great to see it with the original colors (I believe they were the original color scheme) shown on the theatrical trailer.

I've been speculating for a couple months that Shout factory may have the rights to it. We'll know soon if that's the case.

Shout could do a great job on this… would love some new special features plus the old ones.
But what I really wish is to see the film with the color palette from the trailer.
When Leatherface grabs Erin through the wall there’s a blue filter which is inexistent in the home video release (it has a kinda green filter which is horrendous)

I would also add The Hills Have Eyes remake.
As for ANOES I only care for the first two films.

Easily the best Platinum Dunes efforts (which is faint praise). INCREDIBLE opening scene in the van.

Might be a wild take, but I always felt The Hills Have Eyes remake is superior than the original.

The original has charm but I think the remake not only had the ability to be more brutal but also a better plot. The remake also has a great soundtrack and is way more disturbing. TCM '03 is decent, it's a fun popcorn movie and different enough from the original to just feel like another universe's Leatherface and family, but I genuinely would watch the remake of Hills any day over the original.

The original is very enjoyable, but the remake is simply brutal and terrifying at some points. Tho I like the original, I have to agree with you.

It's there by design. It went through a bleach bypass process. The process makes the colors dull with a higher contrast by retaining the silver in the film instead of removing it. Movie trailers don't always represent what the finished product will look like.

I do agree that Scream should do both this and the prequel, or maybe even Arrow. I'd definitely pick them up. They missed the 20th anniversary for the remake, but the original turns 50 this year, so maybe they can release it later on to capitalize on being a successful remake of a50 year old classic.

With Arrow US getting the 2009 Friday the 13th remake 4K rights, I'm still hoping they get this as well. Same production companies and director, except Paramount.
