I almost imported the Arrow yesterday. I'll wait and see what the consensus on this disc is before doing so I guess. Their disc on Crimes of the Future was pretty nice!

I have the Arrow blu-ray (in the Vengeance set) but never grabbed the UHD. This is excellent news.

I thought they were from the same 4K scan? Or at the very least they'd look very similar unless either tinkered with the look of the film.

It's the same 4K scan/restoration as the Arrow release, which was supervised by Park Chan-wook.

There’s only one 4K master and it’s beautifully encoded on the Arrow edition. IMO a perfect release that’s unlikely to be bested here.

I’ve read that Decal (who are issuing this US edition) have had some compression issues on their standard BDs. No idea if that’s true though as, to my knowledge, I don’t own a single title from them.

Perhaps their 4K releases will be of a higher caliber? Either way I’ll be sticking with Arrow.

I already have the Arrow 4K steelbook. I'm not averse to double-dipping, though, if the transfer is great and there's different extras.

It's like a blockbuster. Parasite vaguely similar, but eh, hallway fight too stylized and over the top for this arthouse factory, more gruesome gore than they typically do, sex is more adult than even In the Realm of the Senses with all the fast pounding, and movie's too popular and probably too successful.
