This managed to sneak up on me but looks like I may have to pop over to Denmark to watch this, come December. Did not expect to see a sequel almost 30 years after the original.

Martin's daughter, Emma (Fanny Leander Bornedal), meets with Wörmer in his isolation cell, and this pulls the convicted commissioner out of his coma and sets in motion a chain of fateful events.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kim Bodnia and Ulf Pilgaard joins the cast again for the sequel to the original Danish film "Nattevagten". Once again, Ole Bornedal writes and directs the film.

I can't remember if I'd heard of the original Nightwatch before, but yesterday or the day before I had a look at Hysteria Lives' review of this sequel.

Have checked the database for a Blu-ray release of the original and found a German release (but based on the listing page it doesn't have English subtitles). The sequel had a German Blu-ray release nearly two months ago.
