Default Onkyo 605

Does anyone who has a 605 know if you can hook up a pair of speakers in zone 2? I have 7.1 hooked up in one room, and I want to put an extra pair of speakers in a different room. Is this possible? I can't seem to get the extra speakers to work

I think you can only use your 605 as a pre-amp for Zone 2. Meaning you need a seperate amp to power your speakers.

we actually ended up figuring it out. You can do it, but what you want to listen to in zone 2 has to be an analog signal and not a digital signal. Thanks for your reply though

Regarding the 605... when using a 5.1 system should I hook the rear speakers to the surround input or the rear surround input?

Thanks
