Default Sony Blu-ray player features.

I've been asked by a friend who works at Sony to find out what new features you'd like to see in their players which will arrive later this year.

You're ideas could find themselves going all he way to Tokyo where they'll be mulled over by product planners there.

I'll take ten of the most popular ideas and run a poll to see which ones come out on top.

So if you were designing a Sony BD player what features would you include?

I'd like to see:

- SACD
- 1080p24
- internal decoding of TrueHD and DTS-HD MA to PCM over HDMI
- ability to select bitstream/PCM on a per codec basis (as is already possible on the BDP-S300, but expanded to include TrueHD, DTS-HD MA)
- Reon or Realta video processor
- Profile 2.0
- fast load times
- quicker response to input from the remote
- remember where you stopped the movie (after unit is powered off)

Ditto both above posts and add WiFi for firmware updates.
