demo comes tommorow. what are your thoughts on this game.

We are probably going to have to see how the demo plays.

So far alot of nice things have been said, we will just have to see
if the talk adds up to a great game.

I would like to add that I have no intention of buying a sports game,
but I hope it succeeds anyway, it would be nice that another company
other then EA makes sports games.

I saw the trailer on Kotaku, looks pretty impressive.

EA is completely out of the baseball market. 2k has all the third party MLB rights.

Demo tomorrow? Nice. I too miss MVP 05, but this will be the closest thing to it. I'm already setting up my music to put into the new custom soundtrack feature.

That was just a general statement sorry.

Im not a sports fan type person but the more money to Sony the better, but I will give this title a chance. (demo)

The nice thing about MLB 08's custom soundtrack feature is it proves a developer can use their own interface for organising music and a game can probably play the music in more interesting ways. Imagine playing The Getaway 3 and having the audio mixed as if your music was coming from the car speakers while driving (louder on one side, a bit tinny), earphones while running around on foot (more direct, equal balance) and so on. A system wide CST feature doesn't have that flexibility.

I am not as impressed as everyone by mlb 08 the show. first of all, I do not like the hitting system at all,. Second of all, I have looked at all the pictures and videos on IGN and Gamestop and nothing blew me away. Maybe you could show me something that will change my mind, but until then i am leaning towards 2K8

I'll wait for both demos. Then make my decision..but right now I'm leaning towards 2K8.

I had MLB 07 the show and that game owned...im sure this release will be an upgrade. I will have it!

What the hell is going on with Jeter's jersey in that first at bat on the 2k game??? It looks ridiculous. I'm more convinced than ever that MLB 08: The Show is going to be the better looking game.

I was impressed by the Demo but the fielding angles are a little annoying. The graphics are very good and although yesterday i was leaning towards 2K8, right now I think I am on the side of MLB 08: The Show
