Question,does Walmart work like Amazon where the pre-order is a higher price and then it reduces closer to release date and you are charged the lowest price?

It kinda matches the best buy 4k set as well. But yah matches the Walmart single steelbook more.

And ouch at that price. I thought Best Buy was the only one raising steelbook prices. This is more then Best Buy priced the Dial of Destiny steelbook.

Right. I just menat it better matches the walmart hunger Games steelbook since it has a character on both sides. But the art matches both.

Yeah for sure. I meant the WM 4-film collection above. I'm pretty sure they went to the artist to design both releases to be more or less identical in their design so they could be paired together.

So that's why Donald Sutherland is on the Walmart HG collection steelbook. I thought he was an odd choice, but it becomes clear now that there's a matching S & S steelbook.

The Collectors Edition is saying Out Of Stock now.Looks like I missed my shot. The problem for me with Walmart is that I use gift cards to pay for my physical media.With Best Buy,Target and Amazon,I can go to any store down the street from me to get one. With Walmart, you can only buy a Walmart gift card in a Walmart store.The Walmart that was down the street from me closed two years ago. The next closest one is a bit out of my way.I couldn't get to it until yesterday and being the day before Thanksgiving,the lines were like 2 hour waits and I had to be somewhere else at a certain time.So I crossed my fingers the pre-order wouldn't still sell out before i can get back to that store next week and of course the next day it's now out of stock.

This was my fear about Best Buy stopping physical media and the idea of Walmart picking up the slack.I just don't have as easy access to do pre-orders from Walmart if I have to go to a location out of my way every time I want to pre-order a store exclusive that probably would of went to Best Buy if they weren't done with physical media(I bet one of these two Walmart exclusives would of gone to Best Buy).

I knew Best Buy getting out of physical media was going to cause this problem for me. It's already started.

Oh well,I may try for the steelbook.I still can't get to that Walmart again until next week to get a gift card.If the steelbook is still available to pre-order,I'll get that.If that sells out before I can get the gift card,I'll just go with the standard release.I may have to do that more often if I have to rely on Walmart for the store exclusives Best Buy probably would of had..

On the plus side,I am saving some money not getting the Collectors Edition and if I end up not being able to pre-order the steelbook next week. So glass half full in that regard.

I did let it be known to family and friends that always get me Best Buy gift cards for the holidays and my birthday(because they know that was my first choice to by physical media from) to get me Walmart gift cards now because again, I can still get Target and Amazon easily down the street from me.lol

I'm sure you could buy walmart giftcards online. For whatever reason you prefer using giftcards.

The whole reason I use gift cards is because I use cash to buy them since my credit cards are used for more important things. I get the gift card so I don't have to use a credit card online. Buying a gift card online sort of defeats the whole purpose of why I use gift cards for physical media to begin with. I would have to use a credit card to buy Walmart gift cards online.

I do have an idea about dealing with this issue but its something I would rather wait on until I have a better idea of whether Walmart really is going to pick up the slack on the type of exclusives Best Buy was getting T don't have a firm feel yet if Walmart got these two exclusives both for this reason or if it was an anomaly. I think I'll have a better idea once The Marvels and Aquaman 2 exclusives are known and from where.
