I just turned on a buddy from work to blu-ray. We went into the Amazon website. I recommended the Panny BD30 player and he is also going to buy an HD TV. I informed him on the PQ and SQ differences vs. HD DVD and informed him that HD DVD format is now history. He is going to be blown away when he sees how good blu-ray looks. He has never seen it, only listened to me tell him about it. I gave him the link to this site also for continued information. This is the third new blu-ray adaptor from work that I have had the opportunity to put on the exciting path to HD movie watching. BD really just sells its self once people are informed with a little knowledge and excitement for the format/addiction. The more early adaptors out there will also in turn have the chance to show their friends blu-ray. Just wanted to share my excitement and passion with all of you. Thanks!

They will when they start to hopefully phase DVD's in a couple of years.

DVD sticking around is no threat to Blu. Let's leave them be.

Hey mom, did you explain to him the importance of the HDTV being 1080p? Wait, of course you did. I'm a dumb dumb Good job though. If we follow the same plan of attack as r****ous converters...you know, if each of us turns two people then each one of them turns two people and so on. We will be main stream in no time. Then say goodbye to limited shelf space in retail stores

I've Done My Part by Converting way more than 2 then

Blu-ray Players are flying off the shelves today, I sold 13 this morning.... 13!!!

That's a good $300 in my pocket, plus the extended warranty and HDMI cables, I'm set for the day
