Recently upgraded to a Sony OLED and while I was at BestBuy yesterday I spontaneously picked up a new Samsung HW-Q930C soundbar in the hopes of upgrading my sound system at the same time. But after getting home and doing some research, I have more questions than answers as to whether or not I actually did so. I would like to get some help from forum members on the following questions.
Firstly, I currently have a 5.1 setup with a Sony receiver and Advent speakers and a Klipsch subwoofer. Am I going to get better sound with the Atmos soundbar or is wired 5.1 still better? Second, I have vaulted ceilings. Even with the adaptive technology of the Samsung, will I get 9.1.4 surround or will the ceilings send the soundwaves all over the place. Lastly, assume the answer to the above question is affirmative, is the 990c worth the 400 dollar upgrade and should I go back and get it instead? |
