My 49th year of being a Springsteen fan will be this October. I discovered him with the release of Born To Run and when he appeared on the covers of Time and Newsweek in October of 75. For the younger members, Time and Newsweek were publications printed on paper stock and mailed to residences and businesses. Mail is ..... nevermind

Excited for a bio pic. Love Zanes book "Deliver Me from Nowhere". I think Jeremy Allen White would be a great Springsteen. He'll have to shed some muscle, cause this was before Bruce's Born in the USA "pumped up" days.

We moved last year and I found out one of my neighbors has been a touring sound engineer for Bruce for over 25 years. I dread the day he sees all my memorabilia, then he'll know what a stan I am for Bruce.

I read the script the other day. I'm glad that it is more focused on a specific period and not a more traditional music biopic. If you read Zane's book you'll know what to expect.

The core of the piece is generally pretty good. Some clunky dialogue. And some stuff comes across as fan fiction-y...

There seemed to be a decent portion of incorporating footage from Badlands and The Night of the Hunter footage. I wonder how much the licenses are going to be for those.

I watched a doc recently on Charles Starkweather. They interviewed a one of the reporters during the time of crimes. Bruce reached out to the reporter for historical info about the crimes, societal impact etc.
