This is where my completionism is really put to the test. Given that I buy stuff I'll never watch anyway, I guess it doesn't matter that much, but spending that much on this season is rough. The show didn't get bad enough for me to dump my entire collection of the series (like I did with "The Blacklist")... I guess I did think there were a couple of really good eps. Still, after being a defender of this show for most of it's run, this is the season where I flipped. It was almost like their goal was to lean-in to all the "fan" complaints. "You think it's poorly written now? WATCH THIS!" "Have whiplash from Strand flip-flopping? You're gonna need a neck brace for this season!"

That price will probably reduce. Target has it up for $27.99.

This was the only season I didn't watch. I wonder if it had a decent conclusion.

I liked the finale. Unlike the main series that was setting up three spin-offs(Dead City, Daryl Dixon and The Ones Who Live),this gave more of an ending.

ETA

Spoilers for the second half of season 8.Don't open if you don't want to know how the first half of the season ends.

[Show spoiler]Morgan leaves the series at the end of the first half of the season shifting the focus back to the main characters still on the show from seasons 1-3.

Now that it's over, did this series give any insight into the mechanics or science of the infection that the main series didn't? I dipped out after the first season of this one.

Received today from Bull Moose. No slipcover. The only one of the entire series to not have one. Oh so bitterly ironically, the tagline on the cover says “Finish What Was Started”.

Which of these options is better? I finally finished watching the original (yeah, after so many years ), and now I'm thinking which one to choose for continuation.

I’d recommend order of release: FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, WORLD BEYOND, TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD (though you can really plug-and-play this anywhere), DEAD CITY, DARYL DIXON, finished out by THE ONES WHO LIVE.

Out of curiosity, did it come with a digital code like the previous seasons did?

No slipcover shipped from Target. I happened to visit my local Target today and saw 3 of these on the shelf, none of which had slips either

Yeah, because it doesn’t have a slipcover. Pretty sure we can retire the idea echo chamber now.
