Now trying to temper my expectations... but if we get the theatrical version and I can finally retire my VCD/digital copies... oh boy, will that be a fantastic day.

Was never a big Jet Li fan when I was younger (looking to rectify that these days) but this film is amazing, one of the few Jet DVDs I kept so will be ecstatic to upgrade it.

I was holding off buying the previous Blu-ray release in the hope of a new one, I have caved in a bought a few older released Jet Li Blu-rays recently (Kiss of the dragon, Cradle 2 the grave, Fearless, unleashed) so will be interesting to see what else comes out this year.

Hopefully. I've the Cine Asia Blu of the first Fong Sai Yuk, but it's well over decade since I saw the second, and that was on VHS.

Kiss of the Dragon is a Fox title. How does the old (very old!) blu-ray hold up?

I really hope they include the extended Taiwanese version. I think the extra scenes add to the film. It’s definitely my preferred version.

This is leagues ahead of the older Dragon Dynasty/RoninFlix transfer. Can't wait to see how it looks on an actual disc. Hopefully the Fong Sai Yuk movies and Tai Chi Master can also come out this year.

I really don't think I've seen this film in its original form aside from a shitty illegal bootleg DVD or on YouTube back in its early days w/ some shit burned in subtitles from whatever source they got it from.

I don't think I've ever seen whatever cut the Weinsteins/Dimension/whomever did. And at this point, I don't think I will unless there's a commentary w/ it.

Weinstein cut of this was mercifully nigh-identical, same as Drunken Master II. Just a slightly altered ending with a couple of shots cut + the opening credits being replaced with cringeworthy faux-oriental CGI nonsense. The main issue was those credits + dubtitles being used for the OG audio.

There was an earlier pre-Dimension dub of the film, again much the same as DMII, and I would presume that's hopefully what 88 would be including on this disc. It's quite rare, only been released on a DVD in Spain afaik.
