The first one is visually really colorful and painterly in its animation, which was something to see onscreen. I heard they used a filter after animating, and the filter gave it that painted look.
I wish my enthusiasm was as great for the story itself as for the art/animation, but as an old-school Turtles fan, these are all new Turtles for the most part IMO. I did like the end action scene though. Just not a big fan of the first film. I'll try to keep an open mind for the sequel. These are made for a new generation of Turtles fans. |
