Does anyone here use a pair of HomePods as their primary speakers for their home theater?
I know majority of the people here have massive dedicated spaces for their home movie watching experience, but for someone who doesn't have a really big space and wants to upgrade from a Yamaha 107 soundbar, how are the HomePods as a stereo pair for your movies? I already own one HomePod, but im considering on getting another and creating a stereo pair, the one I have already sounds better than my soundbar, the bass is excellent imo, and the voice clarity is leaps better, plus, I'll be able to route all TV, PS5 audio to the HomePods via the ATV, which I'll also have to buy Would be great if HomePod users can post their setups below too ![]() |

The HomePods sound really great for a pair of speakers this small size. Dolby Atmos content sounds also quite good and I would say they can do it better than all entry to mid level soundbars. I used to have a pair of HomePods (1st gen) with an Apple TV 4K and I liked it very much but I was missing the full immersive surround sound as there are no rear speakers.
Now I have the Sony HT-A9 set and this sounds absolutely amazing! |
