Wow, this is big. This appears to be the first Paramount film KL licensed in the US for UHD that gets a release in another country. This is directly from them obviously but I’ll take that as a sign that maybe we’ll get something from other labels as well. Hopefully, hopefully… But let’s first see how that Italian Job encode turns out.

Oooh...Paramount compression vs the set and forget mediocrity of a Kino encode. Not sure there's a winner there, but comparisons will be interesting.

Haven’t even watched the Kino release yet (besides sampling the opening) but I might already end up selling it!

Back in UK cinemas in August also.

OMG a certain buy. One of my all time favourite films.
Plus it says it will the 4K remastered UHD and BD in the pack. Hopefully better encode than Kino.

I suppose it couldn't be any worse than the Kino but this is Paramount so who knows.

Not sure if it has the same tat as the UK release. It's described as "Collector's Edition" in some places.

My expectations are extremely low. And yes the Kino was abysmal. Right up (down) there with Capelight’s edition of Rollerball.
