My first order will be for The Kenny Everett Video Show, which even though I bought many of Network's titles, it was one that I never got around to buying and it is something I would like to see again.

Father Dear Father series I have never seen. I like Patrick Cargill, so this will be on the list as well to buy.

I don't know your location but you can still get the Network release from HMV (they only ship in the UK), they have it for less then the new release i.e. £27.99, less if you get a 20% discount code.

I will do that. Amazon's £39.99p compared with HMV's standard price of £27.99p is already 30% less! With the HMV discount code that will bring it down to around £22.39p. That is a big difference.

Old Gold Media have left off the 2017 and 2020 Christmas Specials from the Birds of A Feather set, whereas the ViaVision Ultimate Collection features them.

First impressions I get here are that this is a sort of Network 2.0?

If true, this is amazing news. Birds Of A Feather is a classic - well, the first few seasons were at least, I've not seen it recently since it came back.

Hopefully more films and more shows will come down the line. Fingers crossed.

Well done, Nitroes for finding that information, it is excellent to read.

IMO, we should do our best to support this new physical media publisher, when possible.

Also to add, having someone who is ex-Freemantle they are going to have the connections, good relationship which was something Tim Beddows had to his advantage.

Given it is Freemantle title as the guy running the company knows them then shortly that means The Sweeney as noted earlier.

That should prove one way or the other if the HD restorations were completed or only one or two left to finish which should be financially feasible.

Their other big title is off course Minder but can't see that coming in HD. Even Network said it was too many episodes to fund themselves and neither ITV (TV broadcasting) or Freemantle (rights holder) seemed interested in funding it or contributing alongside Network.

They also own shows like The Bill which stalled on DVD here early in it's run although Australia has managed the full show on DVD twice, with an initial release, OOP for many years and then a reissue.

I guess the problem is would people pay for hundreds of DVDs in the UK these days for a show that still features on Drama or can be watched on UKTV Play streaming (with adverts).

Fingers crossed this is Network 2.0. It may well be a stock sell-off but perhaps there was red tape that stipulated it could only be sold off under another name, hence the minimal rebranding?

Just speculating of course. Let's hope it is the real deal.

If they were wise to streaming services censoring some of these shows then I'd hope the answer is yes.

Case in point, Watching is censored on ITVX. In fact an entire episode is removed too. Glad I own the DVD set which is uncensored. Same with Goodnight Sweetheart, even though as mentioned here before it features a dirty paedo scumbag who is thankfully dead IRL.
