Default Rendition

Just finished watching rendition. A very very good movie!! I wasnt really sure what I was getting into but threw it in the dvd player and was very entertained.
Unfortunately this didnt get a blu-ray release(NewLine) but watching it on the Sony blu-ray player was close enough.

I dont want to spoil the movie any, and I know this a DVD but I think if you liked Gone baby gone you will like this one.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this movie?

I wanted to see this so bad in the theater. It has my boy Jake in it! But I just said "New Lines BLu! Just wait for them to release it!" So where are you New Line? Right now I would rather have had them gone HD exclusive because they are not going to put out shit till april.

That's really unnecessary.

I know you're allowed to. That still doesn't make it appropriate.

Let me guess. You don't think people are being picked up for no reason, flown to secret prisons in foreign countries and being tortured?

Maher Arar Does

Maher Arar, a Canadian citizen born in Syria in 1970, came to Canada in 1987. After earning bachelor's and master's degrees in computer engineering, Arar worked in Ottawa as a telecommunications engineer.

On a stopover in New York as he was returning to Canada from a vacation in Tunisia in September 2002, U.S. officials detained Arar, claiming he has links to al-Qaeda, and deported him to Syria, even though he was carrying a Canadian passport.
Do you have anything to disprove this? Besides your personal incredulity?

How about we keep the topic on the movie itself? There really is no need to discuss whether or not America really does torture suspected terrorists.... or go off on some political rant and rave about Hollywood's views and how it's a left wing agenda. The director has the right to take on whatever viewpoint he/she wants.

Personally I liked the movie. I watched the Kingdom and Rendition and Rendition almost seemed like it could have been a second direction for the Kingdom to have gone it. I do, however, think the ending was a little too Hollywood.

I would like to see this movie come out on Blu so I can add it to my collection.

Yeah I'll be picking it up. I was looking forward to it. I wonder why it was delayed by new line.

Hopefully this get a release on Blu-ray, I am about just to download it from "live" and watch it in 720p I saw this as supposed to be released in the UK on Blu-ray, but never saw anything come of it. Hopefully New Line will step it up and get this one out. I wanted to see this while it as in the theater, and like most movies missed it.

I thought this movie was pretty bad. Jake G played an annoying CIA agent and they never explained why his character was so indifferent to everything. Nothing ever felt like it was finished and the only reason to see this movie would be for Alan Arkin who was brilliant for the short time he was on screen.
