Couldn't find an existing thread for these but will delete if there is one.
As far as I can tell the last update on getting these in 4K was 2021. https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/...e-coming-soon/ My friends and I decided to catch up with Peter Jackson's pre-LOTR films since we had never seen them before. I really enjoyed them, Braindead and Heavenly Creatures especially. It's a shame they have been relegated to obscurity because they belong in the same conversation as Raimi's early work. With what's available online the first three are in really rough shape on a technical level. Definitely could use a restoration but given Park Road's recent output I'm skeptical. Is there any hope these come out with some film grain intact? |

Depends on how Jackson wants them to look. I just skimmed through the new restoration of Let It Be and it looks great. To the point that I wish Get Back looked just as good. But that was because Michael Lindsay-Hogg wanted the grain kept intact.

Dude is literally doing anything and everything not to have to remaster and rerelease his early catalog.
