Exclamation No more Blu-rays at Costco?

Again I went in today to my Local Costco to see not one Blu Ray being sold, after being there a couple times around the holidays and seeing the decent amount they had, now find not one single one. Has anyone noticed this at their Costco or is it just mine?

Ive never seen HD DVD at mine and unless they put them in a new place away from all the movies then something happened.

I was there yesterday as well. I asked the manager and he looked in their system and said there there should have been 36 copies of Planet Earth in stock. I informed him that there was not one BD on the floor, except for those in the 40Gb PS3s. His screen showed that they were planning on having the new releases in a few weeks and he insisted that they must be sold out because a lot of people are buying blu-ray now.

The warehouse stores like Costco and Sam's Club get all their inventory in big volume-discounted chunks. If an unexpected spike in demand comes, they might be sold out for weeks on end before they get new stock.

I was actually shocked last night to see Planet Earth BDs at my local Costco. I had never seen them there before. BUT, the other BD title that I used to see, Harry Potter, was not there.

I guess Costco is just slow at getting these out to the stores.

I was at Costco today near my house and they only had Planet Earth ($65.99). I was bummed out because they had a much better selection previously. Hopefully they will restock the Blu section.

Not one Blu-ray disc at my local Costco. They used to have a few, but now they are gone. No HD-DVDs either.

You should check out there web site. That tells the real story. with anywhere from 90-99 BDs at any given time and about 25-30 HDDVDs Costco leans blu IMO. The blu section is updated constantly and the HDDVD section is pretty stagnent.

Oh yeah they have a decent selection on their website, in store was more of what I was talking about but glad to see they are keeping a good selection online

I went to Costco last week and I tried looking for Blu-ray movies. I could not find any but I did notice quite a few Wii games from $5 to $10 off. But Costco not having Blu-ray is not a big deal for me because I usually buy from Amazon.com (extra 10% off, no tax, and prime shipping). That's the best deal going unless there is a BOGO going on somewhere.

I was at my costco today and i only saw planet earth on Blu-ray (which i already own). I usually see a four pack or a new release with the Blu version. I wasn't to concerned about it though, i usually buy from BB or amazon.
