Default "HD DVD death made official; downloads to kill Blu-ray next."

http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/0...-death-ma.html

Are "downloads" really that much of a concern?

you know whats bad is that I am actually seeing hd-dvd blogs and hd-dvd diehards actaully saying that they will tell their friends, family, people in stores, strangers walking down the street, etc. that downloads are better then the "hard copies" for HDM and that they should now go with downloads since the "superior" format lost the "war".....just boggles my mind reading some of this stuff.....

Wow... sooner than I thought.
I thought it was gonna be at least a week from now.
Even though the coffin was already sealed air tight with the the nails it got.

Now let's hope the price of the Bluray players come down so it will go main stream faster. I'm sick and tired of long wait on my Netflix Queue.

I would love to see the day when Walmart have all Bluray in the giant Bin where it said 2 for $11 like they have with DVD right now.

I am unbelievably tired of their predictions already.

They FAILED at predicting trends, and now here they go again! Amazing losers that just can't shut up or go away.

i can tell you, everybody I know, whether they download movies or not, likes to have DVDs in their collection. It's like having a big library It's also impractical to download a *for example* 25gb high def movie, imagine the storage you'd need for the collections some of you guys have! We have about 600 SD dvds at home and the storage for those would be too much!

Did I miss something? When did the vast majority of Americans get high speed 6mb internet connections? When did we become Korea?

As a wise man once said

"There is nothing on this planet that can compare to the bandwidth available in the back of a Walmart Truck."

no, it is just the last thing that BD haters/HD DVD lovers have to hang onto. It is the scortched earth policy. If I can't have it, no one can. If BD loses to DL then we are all losers except just me.
