It would be a great import, but if this war really is over then I would just rather wait.

It would be nice, if you can back it up from your sources

Paramount/Dreamworks is close to announcing support for bluray again, i think ill wait for the US release. I dont feel like paying for import fees. Plus if FOX is the distributor, then its going to be region locked anyways. We should see braveheart and gladiator before the year is over here in the states (my opinion).

I'll definitely wait for it to be released in the states. Paramount is coming back anyway

Braveheart was supposed to be one of the big HD DVD catalog releases this year. With HD DVD up sh!t creek with no oars at this point, one can only imagine that Braveheart will see the light of day on Blu-Ray instead later this year.

Going back to the early DVD days, Paramount always seemed fond of releasing a major catalog title during the last week of August (Titanic, Braveheart, Gump, etc)...maybe history will repeat itself.

Wouldn't be much fun for us consumers, but i think it would be hilarious if the BD camp told Paramount where to go, and left them without an HD platform.

I hope that means Paramount will get on the US release now. I would definitely buy Braveheart in Blu-Ray.

I would look at the SE DVD that was released late last year to get a flavor of what to expect.

If there's a Paramount version and Fox version, I'd pick Fox. Firstly for their support and secondly for DTS HDMA.

If Fox releases in Scandinavia, they'll release in Japan and South East Asia.

Alas. Fox releasing Braveheart means it will be REGION LOCKED. Region Coding is the biggest challenge facing Blu-ray.
