Default Neubie here. Howdy all...

So I've been lurking for a few months, trying to get a feel for the boards and the people that populate them. Seems like a nice crowd, for the most part, so I figured I'd "come out" and share my Blu-Ray love.

I was on the fence for months on the whole Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD thing, and then this past December I bought a PS3 (strictly for gaming...at the time), and popped in the free Spider-Man 3 disc for a hoot. I was enthralled. It was at that point that I decided that I'd hope and wish and cross my fingers that Blu would win this war. I ordered my 5 free Blu's and waited with bated breath...and then I got a copy of Talladega Nights for Christmas.

It was all downhill from there.

Now I've got 15 Blu-Rays, and I'm trying to keep myself from overspending on them, not unsuccessfully. I've got a lot of time and money invested in my standard DVD collection (I was an early adopter, back in 97), and I've determined that I'm NOT going to convert everything to Blu. Just...some of it. The big stuff, as it comes out. Star Wars (a guy can hope, can't he?), Indy, Alien, stuff like that. The Pixar movies.

And anything new that I get will definitely be on Blu-Ray.

Well, that's it. My digital life story. Nice to meetcha. See you on the boards!
