Dallas Complete Series (1978-1991)

I remember reading awhile back that they were remastering the series for a streaming debut. The DVD's have been out of print for a minute and were also flipper discs that many people have reported disc rot on. All of this makes this a good title to upgrade on Blu-ray. Anyone heard anything about a possibility?

The flipper discs continue to litter both eBay and Amazon. Episodes freeze and pixelate resigning them to being unplayable. The single-sided editions came and went so fast, that most people don't know they ever existed. I was lucky to collect them all again over the years but it wasn't an easy task.

TimeLife (now out of business) also re-issued the first 6 seasons on single-sided discs as well. You can easily find the first 4 but I guess Seasons 5 & 6 were part of some limited edition package and are more scarce.

Aside from all that, those were the old transfers. Not sure if we'll ever see the new transfers on physical media. Fans have been wanting Dallas, Knots Landing and Falcon Crest forever. The latter 2 never having reached completion on DVD. Where they are fairly long series, I don't know if Warner will bother with discs of these shows. They have missed opportunities when the format was new and more exciting.
