I bet it's the exact same disc. The German one was mega English friendly. Even the menus were English.

No information has been made public yet.

I suppose just like Capelight, Turbine will be distributing their titles through Altitude.

the 2nd disc is missing that as the Widescreen Unrated Version (HD with SD Inserts) and the Fullscreen Unrated Versions Retro Version (SD) and the special features are the same ones that are on the turbine release.

They'll release the BD on it's own, I'm sure. So to get all the contents of the German edition you'd need to buy both.

Glad I went with the Turbine steelbook.

If Universal owns the rights to a certain film like either Renfield or Barb Wire, then Turbine can release them in the US too. Plus, Turbine would never release Pearl in the US as A24 have the rights to that film over there.

So this will be a Bloodsport situation, same disc as the German because it was English friendly to begin with, and Altitude distributing it. BTW the German Turbine allegedly has fake grain which is why I passed on it.

Yeah, on the SD unrated inserts to better integrate them into the rest of the movie. But the unrated cut is not on the 4K anyway so it's a moot point.

You can read a very detailed review of the disc here (in German but you can translate it). For a movie such as this, I don't think anyone could've expected such a good release imo.

Think this will be the same exact disc and features (I’m in the US - sounds like both are English friendly) as the Turbine?

If I happened to find the Turbine (eBay or somewhere else), would that be the way to go over this one?

The Turbine steelbook is still available, only the two fullslips sold out.

It'll be the same 4K disc as the UK, but you're getting the BD as well with this release, which comes with the unrated cut and an SD 4:3 open matte version as well.

So the German Turbine sounds like the way to go since it includes the BD with unrated cut? Wasn’t clear when you said “with this release” which you were referring to.

Yes. Steelbook has both discs, UK release is 4K only.

Now that I think about it, that German release’s uncut BD is most likely region locked huh? I don’t have a region free player.

Both discs are region free, I've tested them.
