Damn, thought this was Creep from 2004 then, will have to get my order in at Umbrella. This is a decent watch tho, I do wish they would release Possession already, and what is happening with Titane?

Yeah, that could do with a decent release over here!

The 2004 Creep has a reasonable release in France

This film seems to have passed me by, but it seems like the sort of film I'd like. I'll get the standard edition at some point

As a horror fan, this is one I definitely recommend! I've been waiting for a BD release of it, so I'm definitely in for getting this.

Loved this film when i watched it a few years back. Got a different kind of atmosphere going for it and great performance from Duplass, will be getting this. Hopefully they release the sequel also.

Yes, I'd love to see the sequel get a release! Would have been awesome to get a deluxe, two-flim release from Second Sight, but I'll take what I can get.

Heard of it but never seen it. Certainly sounds interesting and Mark Duplass is usually very good.

Seems to be a follow-up film too https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3654796/reference/

Holy crap, I never thought i'd see a proper release of this. I was just thinking about this movie, and the sequel last night, how weird is that ..Hopefully the second is also in the works as I recall it being just as great as the first. I personally find them to be really well-done examples of the found-footage sub-genre.

I wrote some brief impressions on the films in the found footage thread back in 2018:

One review called it a slow-burn, and I'd guess you could say that, as not a whole lot happens, but it builds up to a pretty satisfying conclusion.

And now I just finished Creep 2 (2017) (also Netflix), and this one was even better in my opinion. It is conceptually quite different from the first, but man, this was a fun watch with a really excellent script. I don't want to give much away so I've been intentionally vague, but these movies are only 80 mins each, so they're both well worth checking out. I'd say, even if you didn't care for the first one, still give the second a try. It can even stand on its own in my opinion.

They rely a little too much on jump scares for the scares, but there some great dark humor, and interesting, if not subversive ideas here, and Mark Duplass does such a good job in them. The films have a 96% and 100% RT score respectively, which is mind-boggling for a found-footage horror film. There's plans for a third one too, so that's awesome.

Been gushing over this in the SS main thread but may as well post here too. I was looking at a £40 DVD of it on eBay just days ago and feeling rather glum about it. So, so happy this is finally getting a proper release. As far as found footage goes, this is right near the top as far as I'm concerned.

As for the second film, it's a shame that they didn't package them both together. It would seem kind of obvious to do. Perhaps they thought it wouldn't sell as well as a double release? Or the rights to the second film are more complicated? I'd be surprised if they hadn't at least looked in to it.

I hadn't heard of this until last week when they showed 3 episodes of The Creep Tapes at Fantastic Fest. I immediately went looking for this. The tv show is great.

I love to hear that the Show is great as that's easily one of the few new releases i'm extremely excited about!

The two movies are both great imo and this was an instant pre-order but like others have said it's a shame they couldn't bundle both together but i'm just happy to get a nice quality release of it as I was def. not expecting this.

Mark Duplass flawlessly plays one of those Characters you simply can't replicate and there is no Creep franchise without him, period. He's kind of like the Tim Robinson of awkward found footage horror/comedy and I mean that in the best way possible.

I watched this last night.

It definitely works thanks to the actors especially Mark Duplass as I mentioned before. He has unease in his blood.

It's not really a found footage or 'cam' movie but I suppose it's tied to that genre of film.

I don't really understand how it could be described as anything but?
